Course Overview - Preschool Reading Seminar for Parents
In today’s educational landscape it has become more and more important to give our children the head start that they need to be better prepared when entering Elementary school. Did you know that by the time your child reaches the age of five, 85% of his or her brain development is complete? However, 95% of public investment happens after age five*. Silly Bus is pleased to share with you a special program regarding this important topic.
Silly Bus is offering educational seminars for parents of preschool children. We will discuss the benefits of engaging and preparing children to read in their preschool years. Seminars offer sound advice for parents to help their children learn to read. We are pleased to have an accomplished education professional, Kimberly Gorenflo who will be conducting the seminars.
During these seminars you will learn about:
- The benefits of engaging children in reading during their preschool years
- The state wide agenda that is raising the bar for our students and how we can help our kids stay ahead of the class
- How to help your child begin developing and enhancing their reading skills
- How music is being used to reinforce and enhance learning and reading
Seminars are four hours in length and are $149 per person. Call today (804-363-5441) to reserve your spot at the "head of the class".
Kimberly Gorenflo has a Masters in Reading Specialization and has 15 years of classroom experience teaching grades K-2. Kim was recognized by Henrico County in 2001 with the Gilman Award for Excellence in Education.
